Creative Director
General Description:
The Creative Director is an inspirational leader on the creative team who provides strong creative direction and senior-level review across multiple projects and accounts. The CD is responsible for managing creative projects from concept to completion, translating marketing objectives into creative strategies, and directing the creative team in the production of marketing and advertising materials. CD's also actively seek out opportunities with clients and participate in the pitch to win new business.
Essential Duties & Responsiblities
- Plays a leadership role in the generation, development, and execution of creative concepts within the creative team
- Provides direction and high-level concepting that define voice and style and bring creative concepts to life
- Participates in the development of creative ideas that will be executed in a variety of online and offline channels
- Provides creative input that supports the strategic direction of various client projects
- Participates in proposals to new and existing clients
- Serves as a professional and creative leader within GLG
- Occasional travel for client projects may occur
Experience and Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in marketing/advertising and creative development
- 3+ years in a senior-level creative position with a strong portfolio of work
- Demonstration strength in conceptualization and proven ability to develop strong marketing/advertising
- A thorough understanding of information architecture and interactive marketing
- Excellent client facing and presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required
- Familiarity with design applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is highly desired. Knowledge of motion applications such as Flash, DHTML, After Effects, and other 3D programs is also a plus.
- BA in fine art, advertising, or related field is required
