Senior Interactive Designer
General Description:
A Senior Designer at the Garrigan Lyman Group is at the front end of a highly collaborative and innovation-seeking creative process. The expectations are high, but so are the rewards. A GLG Senior Designer brings strong conceptual skills, brilliant visual solutions, and persuasive articulation of creative ideas and design. He or she collaborates closely with GLG Art Directors and Creative Directors to create initial concepts, while also providing guidance to other designers on the team.
Essential Functions:
- Contributes strong marketing and advertising concepts to the creative development process
- Creates initial visuals and high-impact designs that stretch traditional thinking and provide powerful guidance for the project
- Is well-versed in designing for both digital and print media, including Web sites, Web banners, print ads, collateral, and brand identity.
- Persuasively presents concepts and articulates our design approach to clients and internal review teams
- Collaborates tightly with Art Directors, Creative Directors, project managers, developers and others on the creative team
Knowledge Requirements (Education/Experience):
Commercial or bachelor's art degree plus 5 to 8 years experience as a senior designer, commercial artist or equivalent. Interactive experience a must. Previous agency experience preferred. An extensive portfolio of strong conceptual work will outweigh the educational preference.

- A Senior Designer is expected to provide significant input on the visual direction of projects and may provide guidance to other designers.
- Work at this level requires extensive, progressively responsible experience with a focus on conceiving and designing high-impact visuals in support of digital and print-based marketing campaigns.
