General Description:

Provides the interface between client and internal resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and that the work meets the clients' expectations. Support business development in defining client opportunities, scoping and proposing solutions to meet client needs, proposal writing and budgeting. Work closely with the development team at GLG to understand on-going technical capabilities. Provide assistance to the GLG team on interactive projects, troubleshooting and problem solving. Demonstrates a strong interest in keeping up to date with emerging technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in negotiating contracts for services.
  • Develops project schedules and diagrams to ensure that all critical tasks are identified and completed on a timely basis.
  • Educate clients on project process, schedule and scope.
  • Initiates and coordinates each phase and task according to schedule. Ability to move a project from start to finish; includes client contact, schedule creation and management, internal team management, and general accounting.
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary materials; monitor and control the project budget; communicate with all levels of staff and external contacts on project progress and other issues; coordinate project implementation and follow-up; and monitor compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations.
  • Research and evaluate alternatives, which may be considered during project phases and make recommendations to clients and management regarding best alternatives.
  • Perform administrative duties related to project work as needed.

  • Knowledge of advertising and marketing techniques, time management, budget monitoring.
  • Ability to influence and expedite decision processing by clients and management.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, providers, team members, management and other contacts.
  • Ability to gather and use all appropriate materials and staff to complete a project.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and technology trends and issues.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Technical experience in the following areas:
    • Basic understanding of HTML (including standards based development), Flash, databases, Web services, and the knowledge of when these technolgies are appropriate to use
    • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include strong presentations skills.
  • Excellent organization and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent MS Word and Excel skills.

Education:

Typically requires four-year degree with marketing, sales or business orientation as well as 3 to 5 years related experience with marketing or project management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment within the technology industry.
