As the project took shape, and Dr. Simonyi saw the possibilities it had to offer, the concept shifted. It became more and more clear that instead of a passive repository of information, the site should be a rich, first-person interactive communication channel. The result was an innovative combination of Flash design and a robust publishing engine capable of supporting daily content updates that provide a genuine reflection of Dr. Simonyi's mission in space, as well as on Earth.
