Beyond the Best Buys, HPs, and Dells are thousands of smaller firms selling tens of thousands of computers. These original equipment manufacturers, or OEMs, provide a big opportunity for Microsoft to communicate the value of installing and selling its software.

The Microsoft OEM System Builder video uses line drawing animation to outline the simple process of downloading and installing different versions of Microsoft Office 2010 on new PCs. It’s a training video that looks nothing like a training video. For Microsoft, the process of installing and selling software is constantly evolving, and so is the process of promoting it.
