"Hold On" Music Video

Hold On, the latest release from GRAMMY Award–winning musician, songwriter, and producer Wyclef Jean, is about choices and the paths our choices put us on. GLG Films developed the concept for the music video and put together a production team that included the creators of the opening sequence for HBO's True Blood as well as the cinematographer for The Wrestler.

Shot overnight in Brooklyn, Hold On intercuts stories of lives in the balance alongside performance footage of Wyclef and guest artist Mavado at the center of a storm. After the January 12 earthquake in Haiti, the song's potential as an inspirational anthem crystallized, and it became the perfect vehicle to raise awareness about the relief effort. Wyclef rewrote the lyrics, and the GLG Films team reedited the video. A call to donate was added plus new footage of Haiti, not of the disaster, but of Haiti in more hopeful times, in future times, if we just hold on.
