Rebecca Armen Lyman

As cofounder and principal of GLG, Rebecca Armen Lyman brings a global perspective to our work, where long-term relationships are built with an ethic of trust, respect, and client service. From business development to people development, from account strategy to finance, Rebecca is involved in all aspects of GLG’s work, culture, and growth.

Rebecca’s career has always been about building community around shared expertise. When she worked for PepsiCo, she was responsible for introducing the brand’s marketing strategies to Pepsi-Cola bottlers nationwide. For Turner Broadcasting on the Seattle Goodwill Games, she was responsible for all the producers, directors, and talent for all sports.

At the Olympics in Atlanta, Rebecca worked for the international broadcasters for judo and table tennis. She came away from these experiences with not only a broader perspective but also a deep passion for sports: when GLG posted its first blog in 1996, it was Rebecca’s reportage from the Olympics over a pay phone.

Rebecca lives for that spot where ideas, beauty, history, and human interaction meet. She is immediate past president of the Bellevue Arts Museum board of trustees, and she is an active member of both the Women Presidents Organization and the International Women’s Forum.

In the nearly 29 years Rebecca has served as principal of GLG, technology has evolved and the company has grown. But the values and perspective she has built the agency to reflect have remained the same, and she continues to be as excited about bringing the world to GLG as she is about bringing GLG to the world.
