GLG Advertising Wins Two IAC Awards

SEATTLE – The Garrigan Lyman Group (GLG) has picked up Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards for outstanding work on behalf of two agency clients. Both awards earned “Best of” honors in their respective categories. The Internet Advertising Competition, sponsored by the Web Marketing Association (WMA), was established in 1999 as the only ad competition dedicated exclusively to online marketing and advertising.

Simplot Foods
GLG won a Best B2B Online Advertising Campaign Award for creative work for Simplot Foods. Targeting restaurant operators, the “French Fries” advertising campaign included concepting, copywriting, product photography, and media planning and buying.

“At the start of our engagement with Simplot Foods, there was little consistency between each fry brand, so we worked to ensure that Simplot Foods was gaining brand equity while still showing off the unique features of each product,” said GLG Executive Creative Director Kalie Kimball-Malone. “We also elevated Simplot’s culinary creativity and spoke to the needs of restaurant operators.”

Based in Boise, Idaho, Simplot Foods invented the frozen french fry in 1953 and is now one of the world’s largest producers of frozen potatoes. The company’s portfolio of foodservice products and brands also includes avocados, vegetables, grains, and fruit.

 

Evergreen Home Loans
GLG captured another 2020 IAC Award — Best Financial Services Social Media Campaign — for creative, photography and media work for Evergreen Home Loans (EHL). Titled “People-Powered Loans,” a series of ads on LinkedIn and Facebook was directed at both home buyers and real estate agents.

“While online mortgage lenders are popular, they can’t offer the experience that EHL can: one experienced and local loan officer that will be with the customer through every step of the loan process,” said GLG Creative Director Kurt Reifschneider. “We wanted to make them stars. They’re knowledgeable, approachable and from around here. It seemed natural to make them the linchpin of the campaign.”
